March 15: Spiritwood RCMP was requested to assist a partner agency at a residence on Witchekan Lake First Nation. Officers observed three adult males known to be on warrants in the residence. As a result of subsequent investigation, officers located and seized approximately 26 grams of methamphetamine, a semi-automatic firearm, a sawed-off firearm, approximately 150 rounds of ammunition, numerous knives and trafficking paraphernalia. As a result, the three males were arrested on outstanding warrants. An adult female at the residence was also arrested.
33-year-old Melvin Starblanket from Spiritwood, SK is charged with one count, fail to comply with release order condition, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Prince Albert Police Service. He is scheduled to appear in court in Spiritwood on June 13, 2023.
35-year-old Eric Stevens from Regina is charged with:
- one count, possession of a firearm while prohibited, Section 117.01 Criminal Code;
- five counts, fail to comply with release order condition, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code;
- one count, unsafe storage of a firearm, Section 86(1), Criminal Code;
- two count, unsafe storage of ammunition, Section 86(1), Criminal Code;
- three counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(2), Criminal Code; and
- one count, possess a firearm without a license, Section 91(1), Criminal Code.
Eric Stevens was also arrested on warrants from Regina Police Service. He is scheduled to appear in court in Spiritwood on March 28, 2023.
22-year-old Leon Chamakese was arrested on warrants from Prince Albert RCMP, Ahtahkakoop RCMP, Regina Police Service.
The investigation continues.
March 16: Saskatchewan and Alberta RCMP Livestock Investigations Unit recover over $25,000 worth of stolen cattle. In February 2023, the Alberta RCMP Livestock Investigations Unit (LIU) launched an investigation following the report of a cattle left in Thorhild, Alberta. Initial investigation indicated the cattle may have been transported outside of the province. Based on preliminary information gathered, investigators believed the cattle was destined for Martensville, SK. On March 16, 2023, RCMP Livestock Investigators from Alberta and Saskatchewan, RCMP members from the Martensville detachment, and representatives of Livestock Services of Saskatchewan executed a search warrant for properties in the RM of Corman Park. During the search, officers recovered 10 cows which were identified through registered Alberta Livestock Brands.
As a result of the collaborative efforts with the inter-provincial RCMP agencies, 48-year-old Alvin Hamm was arrested without incident and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000. Hamm was released and is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on May 16, 2023.
Some of the missing cattle remain unaccounted for. The cattle are described as Black White Face or Black Brockle Face cows bearing Alberta Livestock Brands BAR 2 V (right hip) and 6 OVER SPLIT END BAR (left hip).

Livestock Investigators stress the importance of branding as registered livestock brand(s) are the primary means of ownership identification on cattle and horses. Information on branding can be obtained through Livestock Identification Services in Alberta or Livestock Services of Saskatchewan.

March 23: In relation to an ongoing investigation, two separate, but related search warrants were executed at two residences in Yorkton the evening of March 23, 2023: one on the 100 block of Henderson Drive and one on the 300 block of Victoria Avenue. Yorkton RCMP General Investigation Section, Yorkton RCMP Detachment, and the Yorkton Saskatchewan RCMP Trafficking Response Team collaboratively investigated and executed the search warrants, which resulted in a seizure of a vehicle, a quantity of cash, cocaine (108.60 grams), methamphetamine (72.6 grams). Four people were arrested and charged as a result of the investigation.

Twenty-year-old Abdulai Kamara of Edmonton, AB has been charged with:

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine S. 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000 S. 354(1)(a) CC
Nineteen-year-old Isaac Kondekabangu-Kashadi of Edmonton, AB has been charged with:

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine S. 5(2) CDSA
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine S. 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000 S. 354(1)(a) CC
Jesse Wintonyk, Abdulai Kamara, and Isaac Kondekabangu-Kashadi were remanded and are scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on March 27, 2023 at 9:30 AM. Honora Kitchekeesik is scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on May 8, 2023 at 9:30 AM.
March 24: Tisdale RCMP request assistance with identifying individuals involved in theft of firearm
March 25: We've received some questions related to a March 25 collision investigation in Humboldt. Here is what we can share: at approximately 1:25 a.m., Humboldt RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on 12th Avenue in Humboldt. Initial investigation determined a pick-up truck left the roadway and struck a house. No injuries were reported to police. As a result of investigation, the driver, 20-year-old Jared Picklyk from Kelowna, BC was arrested on scene and charged with one count, refusal to comply with breath screening demand, Section 320.15(1), Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Humboldt Provincial Court on May 8, 2023. The investigation continues.
Update –The following wanted individuals who were subjects of previous media releases have been located and arrested: Tyrell Lemaigre (La Loche RCMP), Clayton Fenrich (Yorkton/Melville RCMP) and Dylan Lasas (Meadow Lake RCMP).
