The New Brunswick RCMP has arrested one individual and seized drugs, contraband cigarettes and money as part of an ongoing drug investigation in St. Stephen, N.B.
On May 9, 2021, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Church Street. During the search, police seized what is believed to be cocaine, crystal methamphetamine tablets, hydromorphone pills, an unknown substance in pill form and cannabis. Police also seized contraband cigarettes and money.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was later released. He is scheduled to appear in Saint John Provincial Court on September 1.
The investigation was conducted as part of a coordinated law enforcement approach that involves resources from the New Brunswick RCMP, as well as the Woodstock Police Force and Fredericton Police Force. Members of the West District Crime Reduction Unit and St. Stephen detachment also assisted during the search. These efforts focus on disrupting and dismantling the trafficking of illegal drugs in our province, targeting those causing the most harm in our communities.
