On November 26, 2024, a tip received from the public led RCMP officers to an address in Winnipeg where the 2007 Saturn Ion was located.
The vehicle was secured and removed from the street where it will be examined further.
The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in this request.
Investigation continues.
Over the two days of November 22 and 23, RCMP officers from Forensic Identification Services, Search and Rescue, Major Crime Services and the Stonewall Detachment, with assistance of a forensic anthropology team, conducted an extensive ground search on the property located off of Highway 7 in the RM of Rockwood.
Investigators are seeking the public's assistance in locating a vehicle believed to have been removed from the property at some point in time in the last month. The vehicle is described as a gray 2007 Saturn Ion with Manitoba license plate HGL 773. (photo attached)
The death is still considered suspicious and remains under investigation.

On November 21, 2024, at approximately 8:45 am, Stonewall RCMP responded to the report of found human remains near a residence located in the RM of Rockwood.
Officers attended to the scene, an address located off of Highway 7, and secured the area.
The death is being treated as suspicious and is believed to have occurred within the last month.
The cause of death remains under investigation as we await the results of the autopsy.
Stonewall RCMP, along with RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
