On February 2, 2024 at approximately 10:50 a.m., Deschambault Lake RCMP received a report of a serious assault outside of a residence in Deschambault Lake, SK.
Officers immediately responded and located an injured adult male, who was transported to the local clinic, where he was later pronounced deceased. He has been identified as 21-year-old Jonathan Custer from Deschambault Lake. His family has been notified and victim services made available to them.
A second adult male was arrested at the scene.
As a result of continued investigation by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, 22-year-old Keiffer Robillard from Deschambault Lake is charged with one count, second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code.
He is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on February 5, 2024.
