RCMP Traffic Services traffic stop leads to seizure of loaded firearms, drugs and cash

On August 16, 2024, at approximately 2:15 pm, RCMP Traffic Services conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Highway 6 in the RM of Woodlands.

The investigation led to the arrests of the driver and passenger and a subsequent search of their persons and vehicle.

Officers seized a loaded handgun, rifle, ammunition, suspected crack cocaine and heroin individually bagged, approximately $10,000.00 in Canadian currency and other drug paraphernalia.

Nicholas Durack, 24, of Brandon, was charged with over 20 weapon and drug offences. He was also WANTED on two warrants out of Brandon and was breaching several conditions on a release order.

Diane Woodhouse, 43, of Pinaymootang First Nation, was charged with eight weapon and drug offences.

They were both remanded into custody.

RCMP continue to investigate.
