RCMP seeking public’s help following theft

Update, November 14, 2024: Two individuals involved in the theft have been identified. The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.

The Doaktown RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in connection with a theft in Boiestown, N.B.

The theft occurred on October 24, 2024, between 5:15 p.m. and 5:35 p.m., when two individuals walked into a business on Highway 8 in Boiestown, took merchandise, then left the business without paying.

Police are now releasing surveillance footage photos of the individuals and the vehicle used, in hopes that someone may recognize them.

The first individual is described as a man with short hair and a trimmed beard. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a black baseball hat, sunglasses, light blue t-shirt, camouflage jacket, blue pants and black shoes. The second individual is described as a woman. At the time of the theft, she was wearing a burgundy shirt, light beige cardigan, blue jeans, sandals and a white purse. She was carrying a burgundy jacket. The two individuals left the business in an older model blue Hyundai SUV.

Anyone who lives in the area and witnessed suspicious activity at the time of the incident, who has surveillance footage from the time of the incident, or who has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the Doaktown RCMP at 506-843-9400.
