The Lamèque RCMP is asking for the public's help to identify a person or persons of interest following break, enter and thefts in Shippagan, N.B.
The thefts occurred on November 25, 2024, between 12:45 a.m. and 7 a.m. from a Community Center on J.D. Gauthier Boulevard and a business on 10 Street, in Shippagan. One or more individuals forcefully gained entry to the properties and stole a number of items, including:
-Dewalt and Milwaukee drills
-Dewalt case
-Dewalt sawzall
-Dewalt oscillating tool
-Cable stapler
-Flashlight
-Dewalt lazer
-Milwaukee and Dewalt battery
-Various blades
-Various size BX cables
Several of the stolen items were marked with the letters 'PL' or have a red spray dot on them.
"In this case, the owner has gone a step further by identifying his tools" Sgt. Charles Dubois with the Lamèque RCMP. "This is a simple thing people can do to protect their belongings and help locate stolen items. "
Police are now releasing surveillance footage photos of the thefts in hopes that someone may recognize the individual or the vehicle.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity, or who has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the Lamèque RCMP at 506-344-2006.
