RCMP seeking public’s help following break, enter and theft

The Chaleur Region RCMP is asking for the public's help to identify an individual in connection with a break, enter, and theft in Janeville, N.B.

The theft is believed to have occurred on December 22, 2024, between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., at a business on Route 11, in Janeville.

The individual broke a window to gain entry, and then left with a number of items, including the cash register and cigarettes. The individual was wearing a mask, a black jacket, blue jeans and rubber boots. The individual was travelling in a grey vehicle. The business was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

Police are now releasing surveillance footage photos in hopes that someone may recognize the individual or the vehicle.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity, or who has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the Chaleur Regional RCMP at 506-548-7771. The investigation is ongoing.
