On July 23, 2024, at approximately 10:45 am, RCMP on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Fisher Avenue, in Portage la Prairie.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of over 340 capsules believed to contain cocaine.
The driver and three occupants were arrested.
Carrie Bearbull, 45, of Portage la Prairie, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Fail to Comply. She was remanded into custody.
The three occupants were later released with no charges.
Portage la Prairie RCMP continue to investigate.
