Lot 16, PE – Prince District RCMP is investigating a two-vehicle head on collision on Route 122, the Allen Rd., in Lot 16 that resulted in the death of a 76-year-old Tyne Valley man.
On November 19, 2024 at approximately 12:40 p.m., Prince District RCMP, Miscouche Fire Department, Summerside Police Services and Island EMS responded to a two-vehicle head on collision on Route 122 just east of Miscouche. A 42-year-old Tyne Valley man, was transported to Prince County Hospital with serious injuries and a 76-year-old Tyne Valley man was declared deceased at the scene.
The Provincial Coroner and an RCMP traffic reconstructionist attended the scene, and this investigation is ongoing. Route 122 was closed to all traffic for several hours.
