On April 13th, 2024, the Resolute Bay RCMP received a complaint that a vehicle had crashed into a ditch. No injuries were reported. Upon investigation, RCMP learned that two men had operated a vehicle while impaired by alcohol.
The two men were later identified as Inootiq Manik and Andrew Massey, both men are charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Section 320.13(1), Operate a conveyance in a manner that was dangerous to the public.
- Section 320.14(1)(a), Operate a conveyance was impaired by alcohol.
