The Whitehorse RCMP General Investigation Section have concluded the investigation into allegations related to use of holds and isolation spaces at Jack Hulland Elementary School.
As a result of the investigation, the RCMP have concluded on the entirety of the evidence that was collected, that no criminal charges will be laid in this matter.
The Jack Hulland Elementary School community was updated by means of a letter distributed through the school's communication channels today. Victim Services has been engaged from the start of the investigation and has been updated in order to continue to offer supports. Investigating officers have provided updates to individuals involved.
The investigation's extensive scope and scale necessitated a substantial commitment of resources and dedication from the officers involved. The investigators express their gratitude to all individuals who have cooperated by providing information and sharing their experiences with the police during the investigation.
No further commentary will be provided by RCMP in this case due to other ongoing judicial processes.
