Bay Roberts RCMP investigates property damage and theft at Bell Aliant cell substation

Bay Roberts RCMP is investigating property damage and theft that occurred at the Bell Aliant cell substation in Clarke's Beach overnight on May 28, 2024.

Sometime between 9:00 p.m. and midnight, a suspect or number of suspects broke into the substation, damaging the property in doing so. A quantity of copper wire was stolen and damages to the site are estimated at approximately $10,000.

The investigation is continuing.
