A 41-year-old man from Tracadie, has been sentenced following an act of public indecency in Val-Comeau, N.B.

On July 2, 2024, the Tracadie RCMP detachment received a report that an individual was exposing himself on a public beach in Val-Comeau. The RCMP quickly launched an investigation. On July 3, 2024, police arrested an individual in connection with the investigation and he was remanded into custody.

On August 14, 2024, 41-year-old Nick Matthew Degrace appeared in Bathurst Provincial Court and was charged and pled guilty to committing an indecent act and failure to comply with a probation order.

He returned to court on September 4, 2024, where he was sentenced to 12 months in jail and 24 months of supervised probation.
