On the evening of July 7, 2022, the Rankin Inlet RCMP co-hosted an ATV & Firearm Safety event with the Community Justice Committee, the Hamlet of Rankin Inlet, and the Rankin Inlet Bylaw Enforcement. This event was organized as part of an informal pre-charge alternative measures program where 22 people had their motor vehicle ticket waived.
During the event, the RCMP members helped people fill out their Possession and Acquisition Licence renewal forms and they gave out trigger locks.
There was coffee and donuts for everyone. There were 20 door prize winners, those lucky people went home with new helmets supplied by the Community Justice Committee and $1000 worth of gift cards compliments of the Hamlet of Rankin Inlet.
We would like to thank Barbara Tartak, a Community Justice Committee Board Member for boldly speaking and sharing her words of wisdom at the event.
Please continue to keep the public and roadways safe!
