A 39-year-old man has been charged with three weapons offences following a seizure of weapons and drugs in Speerville, N.B.
On July 30, 2019, around 10:30 a.m., members of the Woodstock RCMP detachment attended a home on Speerville Road. A search of the home led to the discovery of nine firearms, ammunition, bear mace and brass knuckles, as well as quantities of drugs. A man was arrested at the scene.
The following day, two women, a 37-year-old and a 21-year-old from Speerville were arrested at the same location. They were both released pending future court dates.
Walter Patrick Michaud of Speerville appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court on July 31 and was charged with unauthorized possession of firearms, unsafe storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of prohibited weapons. He was released with conditions pending an appearance at Woodstock Provincial Court on August 27 to enter a plea.
The investigation is continuing.
